Some of us really wanted to see Beneath the Salish Sea, the great new film about Puget Sound, Georgia Strait etc. but couldn’t make the show times due to our hectic schedules. Some of us have to admit that we forgot.
I’ve heard from several friends that I really missed out, and as a writer whose focus is life in and around marine waters, I should get my butt to the next showing.
Luckily Lynn and Blake, owners of the Clyde Theater, pay attention to their public and have heard the pleas to bring the film back again. Here’s their announcement of two more showings next weekend:
Back by popular demand. WOW! Your enthusiasm for Beneath the Salish Sea was incredible—and we’ve got the pictures and videos of the long lines and First-Street traffic jam for the second time to prove it. We are so sorry for those of you who tried to see the underwater documentary on Sunday the 7th but were turned away. It’s an astonishing film, and more than half of it was filmed right here off Whidbey. So we’re happy to announce that Beneath the Salish Sea will show again Sunday, February 21st at both 11:00 and 2:00 and once again its maker, Florian Graner, will be there to answer questions after the show. Let’s see if we can finally get everyone in who wants to see this show!
So, my whole day next Sunday is devoted to getting in to Langley’s famous theater to take this virtual dive trip. Most likely I’ll be inspired to renew my SCUBA certification and get back down there for real. It’s been way too long.
