I’m not sure how long my memory is, but we lived in Glendale when we first moved to Whidbey 20 some odd years ago. I can tell about the time our sub-standard wood stove back drafted and we entertained the entire South Whidbey volunteer fire department in our tiny A-frame in the middle of the night. Or the time the neighbor’s golden retriever decided to swim out to catch an Orca. But I’m all ears for the story of the railroad, the hotel and the original landing craft ferry.
