They say you learn something new every day. I had no idea this little island community was cosmopolitan enough to have a Yacht Club. Now I know. But I found out in an interesting way.
Tom went out to do a bit more maintenance un the underside on Incognito. I had to stay ashore to do some stuff for work. I tried to participate by at least getting a picture of him upended between the white hull of Incognito and the bright blue Tupperware kayak, kicking his turquoise fins, but I missed it.
When he went aboard our (by default) 22 foot YACHT, he found a zip-lock baggie in the cockpit with a couple of pieces of salt water taffy (no he didn’t share) and an invitation from the South Whidbey Yacht Club to join them the third Wednesday of each month at the Honeymoon Bay Clubhouse.
The letter suggests we might learn something by attending.
Hmmm, did they witness our lawless shenanigans with the beaching and think “Geeze, these two need some help?” Don’t know if I can show my face.
Thanks for the invite!
