Whidbey friends keep emailing me photos of their lovely gardens in the snow.
For something different, here’s what my little world looks like. For the record, I did not move the boat on the dock. I assume wave action or wind was the culprit. Or maybe the hyperactive kingfisher that’s been hovering around here all morning, diving toward the freezing water but never actually splashing in.
Wish I had a better camera to better show the activity on the harbor. Somewhere, someone is enjoying wind because the water is covered with white caps. The swells are big, even the 50 foot sailboat is diving into them. Every now and then a standing wave moves through, breaking for a few seconds.
Apologies to my professional photographer friends (Chris). I know this is painful.
