The promised storm blew through yesterday. It was windy, but did little damage around here. I was out and about all day and everywhere I went the lights flickered at least once, but the power never went out.
Tom even found the time to cut up the leftover limbs from our previous two windstorms. I think he might have been inspired by the prospect of the pile getting higher.
Okay, so this post isn’t very newsy, mostly an excuse to put up a picture of a willow tree in the wind, its long, weeping strands blown sideways. Maybe you had to be there, it was pretty dramatic.
Plus, I thought it might be good to show that most trees keep standing. Lately I seem to have talked far too much about the few that fall down.
